Sight casting to a tailing redfish with a fly rod on the middle Texas coast is one of the most challenging, but rewarding, types of fishing. Choose Capt. Steve for an incredible fly fishing experience on the Texas Gulf Coast. Here is what you can expect:
The Texas coast between Port O’Connor and Rockport offers excellent opportunities to sight cast for redfish, as well as shots at black drum, speckled trout, and sheepshead.
We will be sight casting primarily for redfish in shallow water. Ice water is provided, but feel free to bring your own food and beverages. All modern fly gear will be provided, as will flies proven to be successful in the areas we will be fishing. You are welcome to bring your own gear, in fact, we encourage it! There is something special about catching a redfish on your own fly rod.
Capt. Steve will contact you a week prior to your trip to discuss details, such as what time to arrive and where, and answer any questions that you may have. He will also give you his cell phone number in case any issues arise prior to the trip.
